Academy Players: The players for the Academy program will consist of 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. Technique: The players will be introduced to techniques that will begin to build a basis for learning soccer skills. The skill will come from the player knowing when to apply the technique in a game. Weekly Training Sessions: Each weekly training session will focus on one topic. The topic will be introduced to the players and will be the main focus of the practice session. After a few weeks of practice sessions, a review of techniques introduced in previous weeks will be presented. A player will have between 1,400 to 1,800 touches per practice session.
